On Gallows Hill

Cozy lounge with Edison bulb chandelier, framed portrait art, and decorative animal-print throw pillows on a beige sofa.
IT'S IN SALEM

OF COURSE IT'S HAUNTED

I figured I would spare the question, it's haunted...ish.

I've only had a few experiences in here with spirts, but they were cool. They may show up in your photo, but that always seems to be when I use film. They like to get into my changing bag and flash an orb once in a while when I'm loading the film onto a spool.

Minutes from Proctor's Ledge

The only thing that separates my artistic home from Proctor's ledge is some trees and an abandoned Walgreen's. Literally through that parking lot and to the right, and that is where 19 people lost their lives on a gallows because of an ancient case of ego-mania.

survived the salem fire

The great Salem Fire claimed a good number of historic Salem MA, but not this building. We're proud of our creaky floors, inefficient windows, and old ass vibe here at Gallows Hill Artists. This building is built like a fortress and it shows why it will survive longer.

don't ignore uncomfortable truth

YES, there is a noose chandelier! 19 people were hung right down the street, so the first thing I did when I moved in was make something to remember all of them. There are exactly 19 nooses (count them when you come in). If this offends you, good! This part of history should.
